Summa’ Gym 2010- NO REGRETZ!

So I kind of missed the challenge this Wednesday…so typical of me. I’ll try again next week. :P

First thing’s first, vote for me in Dear Oxygen’s Domain Contest!!! Link in the sidebar. Vote for me!!

Lately I’ve been wrapped up in a little thing called Summer Gym. (Oddly enough, I remember blogging about this exact same thing one year ago…lol life parallels). Summer Gym is a torture device designed for the non-athletic and overscheduled. I happen to be both. Since my state requires one unit of gym (or two semesters), I had to return to this prison for the second year in a row. It’s three weeks, five days a week, 7:00-12:00 IN THE MORNING of constant physical activity. It’s a part of summer school in my district, this year hosted at a ghetto-sketch school that boasts an impressive record of juvenile delinquents and condoms littering the turf field.
It was bad.
However, I survived it with my best friend AJ and made a few new friends along the way. So the social aspect wasn’t too bad. I just learned how awful I was at most every sport. Except soccer and tennis. I like those. :)
Since it was a part of summer school, we shared the building with the creepy gangtas and thugs who couldn’t pass English or Algebra the first three times and therefore had to come to summer school. We were basically the only ones there by choice.

The other thing that I was doing this week was planning aforementioned best friend’s surprise sweet sixteen! It was very fun and elaborate. I planned it with two other friends. The party was yesterday and we had only started planning saturday. So it was a lot of work squeezed into a short amount of time. We actually had two parties: first, we took him out to lunch, just the four of us, right after summer gym. Polly and Jessy (the other planners) had decorated his car, and so when we got to his house, he was very surprised! We paid for his lunch and then got dropped off at Polly’s. He was very disappointed-like, is that it? We’re not gonna hang out all afternoon? But little did he know…we spent the afternoon picking up his dinosaur cake at Costco, decorating Polly’s backyard, attempting and failing to fix her trampoline net, calling her albino-tool neighbor Henry and amigo to fix it and etc. We even made him a tribute video! Courtesy of me. :) Needless to say, he was very surprised and very, very happy. He’s a big drama queen and love attention, so the party naturally satisfied that. We had about 20 people over. It was a very fun time!

Yep. If I wasn’t going to play it, my dad wouldn’t have bought it for me. xD It’s been five months already since I started playing.

I’ve had a friend like yours…I felt weird around her because of it.
I’m still waiting for an e-mail reply from Amy.

Actually, “Nugget” came from my last name. Someone couldn’t pronounce it so he started calling me that.
I’ve already named a chicken FRAN.

~

I voted for you. Hope you win!

Over here, my school offers the choice of taking gym and health during school or the summer. Some people chose summer so they would have more room in their schedule. I took it during school.

That’s an elaborate party. xD I’m glad that you guys had a lot of fun.

Thanks, I have such a strong dislike for moving because then I feel obligated to get everything done in one sitting, that definitely never happens. I would actually recommend Eclipse to anyone, I loved it (:

Rumors suck, and they spread so fast. Especially through social networking sites.

Yeah. In return I called him BenjaBoy.

I used to always use sub-domains a few years back, and then I was able to get people to buy me domains by giving them points on a forum. :)

I don’t have any Fine Art classes, since I can’t play orchestra or band instruments, and my parents won’t let me take Visual Art. So I’m taking an AP government class next year to basically fill up my schedule, since all of the other classes are boring. And my friend is going to be in it, too.

You really should watch all the movies, they’re all good but Eclipse is definitely my favorite.

That’s really nice. I want to plan something like that for my friend too but I don’t know if it would work… We tried once for an other friend but nothing worked… Glad to hear you had some fun! :)

Ugh, that summer gym doesn’t sound nice. I’m not a fitness person myself. It’s great you made new friends though. That’s why I go to a lot of music camps because I always make loads of friends.

I’m glad your friend was happy with his birthday party Aw, it’s a shame he thought you weren’t doing much, And that dinosaur cake sounds nice.

I know, it’s sickening that such people live in this world. I’m really proud Matthew stepped in and I know how against domestic abuse the brothers are. I agree with you, I like to think that our generation will learn from this one’s mistakes.

It was a long time ago, lol. A lot of people were into selling and buying graphics back then, but now it’s more of a social forum.

My parents think it’s impractical. They say that I have better classes to take. :(
AP Comparative Government is actually going to be pretty easy. I had the same teacher last year, and she makes her tests ridiculously easy.

The only art class that I’ve ever taken was in middle school. That was because everyone one got their electives chosen at random, except for fine arts.
Yep. So I guess that would be an easy A, then.

A sports camp doesn’t sound like much fun :P I’m glad you made some new friends and managed to survive it :) At our school we only have to take one semester and they don’t offer anything like what you’re saying. So this year I’ll be taking a regular gym class with all of the buff gorillas that reside in my school :S

We had an option to do swimming, instead, but they had “school-approved and issued” swimsuits that we were to wear and all the guys had those little Speedos. Not very welcoming. Plus, what’s the point of getting ready for school in the morning if you’ll just have to do it again after swimming? Yuck :) Happy Birthday to your friend, by the way!

I didn’t like the books much either.

That summer gym sounds like fun, at least in my opinion. I love sports and I’d enjoy getting that kind of work out for that period of time. That’s funny cause tennis and soccerd are my two least favorite sports. At least you had time with your friends and time to make new ones (:

Summer gym, huh? Man, I hate gym in general…then to have it in the heat? Ick…

I don’t hate Alejandro…the video was too sexual for my taste.

And what kind of hell is that? In the Seattle school districh you have to do one year of gym or a season of competitive competition. So i just opted to do yoga whiich was an amazing class. I love tennis tho and soccer is fun too =]

Never heard of being foreced into summer school for it though! =[

Well Summer Gym sounds like hell :| but at least it made you do some sorta activity xD and plus, if you look back on this later on in your life, you’ll just remember about the friends you’ve made :D

I think when it comes down to sports -_- I only like Soccer and Tennis too lol. I’m just good in soccer and volleyball, haven’t really tried tennis :(

You’re so lucky the surprise party worked out! I tried planning one for my friend once and it failed three times in a row. So I had given up xD I guess the best thing is to plan it out in the smallest time possible, giving it too much time allows more of a chance to cancel it.

Yeah. There was a time when I had to take General Music—Piano. It was so boring, and it was like the teacher had no life in him.

OMG :O if soccer is your favourite sport, are you keeping up with the World Cup? If so who are you cheering for? :D :D

and LOL, my friends and I can be such huge procrastinators too. But at least when you’re doing something with another person, it helps you get things done a lot faster.

I thought fireworks would add a nice flare to anything xD I love all sorts of light textures 8D
